Never been out of the country: Thoughts on Costa/Playa Mujeres?

Hi all,

My fiancé and I are looking for a place to travel for our honeymoon in June and we are a little stumped. We think we want to go to Playa/Costa Mujeres (are Playa Mujeres and Costa Mujeres the same?) for an all inclusive adults only resort for about a week in late June. Between the both of us we’d like to spend no more than $7k.

Was wondering if I could hear experiences from anyone who has been to Costa Mujeres/Playa Mujeres for an all inclusive stay and your thoughts on the resort you picked as well.

Trying to help her pick a great place, but I’ve never been anywhere out of the US. Thought I’d ask where you guys have stayed (if you’ve been there) and hear how the experience was, tips, things to know etc. That would be most helpful.
