New Zealand and Fiji in May

Hi!

My FH and I are getting married May 10, 2025 in the US. We were thinking of going to NZ and FIJI for a total of 16 days from May 15 – June 1. I was reading it would be a great time to visits Fiji due to it not being cyclone season, but it will be going into winter in NZ. We are very adventurous and don’t mind the colder weather, we love hiking and skiing so that would be fun. For those who’ve been to NZ/Fiji or are from the area, what do you think/recommend?
