Does anyone have experience doing northern Italy for their honeymoon in August? We are considering the Dolomites, and then something like Lake Como. No desire to go to Milan or Venice (although understand we may need to fly into one of these larger cities).
We want to avoid the mass tourism that might be more present in places like the Amalfi Coast, Rome, etc. Is August a bad time to travel to these more northern locations? Did you find it was a nice honeymoon location?
