October 2025 honeymoon destination – suggestions please!

My fiancé (M30) and I (F31) are planning our honeymoon for October 2025. We're looking at going for about 2 weeks, we're both British and will be flying from the U.K.

We're aiming to budget under £1250 per person for flights and hotels (about $1650 USD).

Ideally we'd like to visit 2-3 places during the two weeks. We're into culture, nature, adventure, good food, and we're not against having a rest day here and there.

We've been looking at going somewhere in Asia but we've come across a couple of issues with the places we've looked at.

Originally we'd thought about China – flying into Shanghai, travelling to Zhangjiajie, and then finally on to Beijing and doing the Great Wall and Longqing Gorge. However the cost of internal flights (would take too much time via train) plus the cost of visas is putting it way over budget, even with cheap hotels. We're limited in only being able to fly between our airport and Beijing and Shanghai so these would need to be our start/end point.

We also looked at combining Thailand and Laos – flying in and out of Bangkok, and visiting Chaing Mai and Luang Prabang. We can do this under budget. Because of the rainy season we'd likely have to do this in November rather than October which would be possible, but there's been a lot of flooding in the areas both this year and last which looks as though they’ve caused significant damage and disruption to the areas, so we're unsure if this maybe wouldn't be the best idea at that time of year.

We've also ruled out Vietnam because of the cost of flights.

We looked at India but got a bit put off after reading stories about the way female tourists are harassed and have their body parts grabbed by men on the street.

Basically we're looking for somewhere that will be dry and safe, not too bothered about temperature but preferably not insanely hot, and that we could do for under £2500 total. Somewhere that combines nature and outdoor activities and culture, doesn't necessarily need to be Asia, but not in Europe or the US. We'd really appreciate any suggestions or ideas! Thanks!
