Overwhelmed by honeymoon locations… where should we go?

My fiance and I are super overwhelmed with options. We are planning to go on our honeymoon at the end of April through early May. We are hoping for somewhere for at least 7 full days not including travel, would prefer a few more. We want this to be an amazing trip and something we likely would never be able to do in the future.

Our must haves are: • around $8,000 • GORGEOUS beaches and waters • good food and drinks • options for excursions and adventure such as snorkeling, kayaking, hiking to scenery, etc. • little risk of sargassum since it might be sargassum season?

We are preferring an all inclusive, but we’re open to not. We just feel that an all inclusive financially makes the most sense with how much we plan to drink. We also aren’t sure how drinking on the beach works if you’re not at an all inclusive? Can you bring your own coolers?

We’ve thought about Cancun, St. Lucia, Aruba, Curaçao, and St. John. We’re just worried about sargassum and I’ve read Aruba can be really windy? Also unsure of what is feasible with our budget.

Most of the concerns we have are just things we’ve seen online and know that we can’t control it, but want to do what we can to minimize the risk of not being able to enjoy ourselves and the beach!

We’re also open to other location recommendations! If there are resorts you recommend, we’d love that as well.
