Planning a mini-moon, advice please

My future husband and I are trying to figure out our honeymoon plans for this August.

Originally we wanted to go to Phuket but financially we are unable to go that far. So we are trying to get a 5-7 day mini-moon on a smaller budget.

We would be flying from Edinburgh, and are open minded about anywhere.

Initially we were thinking Morocco, but saw some articles saying it wasn't very safe?

If anyone can provide any advice, we would be incredibly grateful for it! Thanks
