Planning Our Honeymoon in Japan (February 2027) Need Tips, Advice, and Must Sees!

Hey everyone!

My fiancé and I recently decided to move our wedding from October 2026 to February 2027 because of work, and we figured… what better way to celebrate than by spending our honeymoon in Japan?

We’ve both always wanted to go, but since it’ll be our first time there, we’re a little overwhelmed with all the options. I’d really appreciate any advice, tips, dos & don’ts, or recommendations from people who’ve visited or planned something similar.

Some things we’re trying to figure out:

• Which cities or towns are must-visits for a romantic trip? • Any places you think we can skip or that are a bit overrated? • Would you recommend staying in one place the whole time or moving around to different areas? • Hotel vs Airbnb what’s better (and more convenient) for Japan? • Any good honeymoon type experiences (onsens, food tours, scenic trains, unique stays, etc.)? • And any travel or budgeting tips for February would be awesome too since it’s winter! 

We’d love to explore, eat great food, and experience as much as possible while still keeping that relaxed honeymoon vibe.
