Roadtrip honeymoon in August

Hi all! My fiancée and I are getting married in July and are going to do a 5 day honeymoon (August 6-10). We’re from Seattle and really want to see the Redwoods, so our thought is to leave Tuesday night after work (3pm) August 5th and drive as far south as possible , then see the redwoods the next day and work our way up the Oregon coast to be home on Sunday the 10th.

It seems like a fairly big trip to do in the time we have, and I don’t want to spend the whole time driving… Has anyone vacationed in the areas I’m describing? We’re looking for things to do other than take in the beautiful scenery. If you have any ideas of what to do or where we should stay, that would be greatly appreciated!
