Hi, everyone! Like everyone else, I’m very torn on where to spend our 10-day honeymoon. My fiancé and I are HUGE foodies and typically prefer traveling to a city rather than the beach because we are more “travelers” than “vacationers” but since this is our honeymoon, we decided we want to mix in some beach time as well to relax (3 nights maximum though, because we know we’ll get bored if it’s any more). We’re torn with our three main options:
Option 1: Tanzania (Safari at the Serengeti + Zanzibar) Option 2: India + Maldives (any better city combo to pair with the Maldives?) Option 3: Indonesia (thinking Bali) + Singapore
We REALLY want to do a safari but the only thing stopping us is the fact that September is peak season so everything is much more expensive and a part of us is wondering whether we should just “save” money and go a different time when it’s not peak season? The difference in price is crazy, so that’s the only thing making me guilty.
For context, our budget is $10-15k (not including flights since in-laws will be covering it) for both of us with about 200k of credit card points.
