Surf and Chill HM in March

Where to go abroad in March where my husband can surf and I can chill. No Bali. We live in LA. I’ve traveled a ton and my husband has never been out of the country so I want something that will be a good middle line of comfort to not scare him away (epic eco resort that’s accessible to some real culture ) but also not too American / English. He’s been to Hawaii so we need something way more wow factor than that. Selfishly on my end though I want somewhere really beautiful and secluded with as few influencers as possible. Bonus points for a honeymoon villa on a great property.
