Taipei and Thailand for honeymoon mid to late December

Hi all,

We decided that we are going to have two locations for our honeymoon – Taipei and Thailand starting from mid to late December.

Potential ideas for Taipei that I am looking for recommendations:

1. Stay in a Taipei spa hotel, but thinking of going somewhere that involves hiking, walking etc. Both would be amazing.
2. Both love Asian food so somewhere very much foodie oriented
3. Not too keen on city stays, we do have to stay in the city for about a week though and then move on elsewhere.

For Thailand, since we are practically staying around the beach area with friends the following month, I was thinking:

1. Spa or luxury hotel stay somewhere historical or city oriented
2. For NYE thinking of doing a more city stay, no beach or party trips

Just to add:

Budget – €5-10k is fine. We are fine staying anywhere from AirBnbs to nicer hotels (as long as it's IHG, just because I'm a loyalty member to get and use the points benefits).
