My fiancée and I are from the NYC area, and we are looking to plan a honeymoon to Thailand and Vietnam that will give us a good taste of the culture and also some time to be at the beach. I’m thinking of the following locations but would love feedback and other suggestions:
Thailand: 1. Bangkok 2. Chiang Mai 3. Beach (probably on the Andaman coast. I’ve heard Koh Samui is the easiest to get to but I’m concerned of the over tourism after the last season of White Lotus)
Vietnam: 1. Hanoi 2. Ning Binh or Halong Bay (I hear Halong Bay can be dirty, crowded and overrated) 3. Central Vietnam (Da Nang/Hoi An)
How many days do you recommend to fit all this in? Any other suggestions you would swap for any of the above or remove?
