Thailand or Caribbean‽

Hello, We're planning our honeymoon and need a little help chosing the perfect spot. We're flying from the East Coast of the USA and are looking for a relaxing beach getaway with crysta clear waters.

Our previous vacation last year was pretty intense with a tight schedule, and wedding planning has been mentally taxing (in a good way!). We're really looking foward to a vacation where we can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy a few cocktails on the beach.

I was really excited about Thailand after a few friends told me how nice it is, especially the cultural experiences and beautiful beaches. However, the itineraries I've seen often involve a lot of travel, such as island hopping. Also, I've heard that July might be monsoon season in Thailand. Is that true, and if so, how significant are the rains?

Ideally, we'd love to find a place where we can unpack once and truly relax. We did multiple destinations on our last vacation and are looking for a more laid-back experience.

Do you think this kind of relaxation is possible in Thailand, or should we focus on the Caribbean? Our budget is around $10,000.

Also, our travel date is the end of june-mid july, is the weather good in the carribean then?
