Thailand or Japan? (late oct-early nov)

My fiancé and I want to go to Thailand or Japan for our honeymoon.

Option 1 – For Japan, we would start with 2 nights in Hakone, 5 nights in Kyoto, 2 nights in Nara, 3 nights in Tokyo.

Option 2 – For Thailand, we would start with 3 nights in Bangkok, 3 nights in Chiang Mai, 4 nights island hopping around Krabi, Phi Phi or Phucket, 2 nights to finish in Bangkok.

We LOVE good food, music, nature. We want to be able to relax a bit…but not too much where it gets too slow. We’re not party people. What do you think? Any recommendations? 😊
