My fiance and I are getting married the last week of August 2025. We have always planned on leaving the same week for our honeymoon, as it feels strange to get married one day then show up to work the next.
However, as we look towards planning a three-week honeymoon in Japan, I'm seeing so much about the heat/weather end of August – September. I was diagnosed with chronic illness last year and my heat tolerance has significantly changed. We were in Florida for one week end of August this year and I found myself approaching panic at times with how the humidity in the crowds felt.
Is it worth discussing delaying our Japan honeymoon to October to avoid the heat/humidity? I'd love to hear from folks who had time between their wedding and their honeymoon – how was it? Do you regret it at all/wish you could have done it differently if you could?
