Too Many Requirements, Not Enough Ideas – Need Honeymoon Advice!

We’re trying to plan our honeymoon and would love some advice because we feel like we have a lot of requirements and aren’t sure what would be the best fit.

Timing & Budget: June 2026, 2 weeks, ~ $12k.

Travel Background: We’ve lived in several European countries and traveled extensively around Europe, so while we love it, it doesn’t feel “honeymoon special” for us. We’ve also been to Japan, the US, the Caribbean, and parts of South America. Since we’ll be moving to the US next year, we’d prefer to avoid destinations like Mexico or Hawaii, since we’ll likely explore those later when they’re easier/cheaper to reach.

Our requirements:

• A fairly relaxing trip (we definitely want to recharge after the wedding!) but not just lying on the beach the whole time.

• Either one destination with both relaxation + light activities (nature, culture, exploring) or a split trip (1 week exploring, 1 week relaxing)

• Safe destination – we don’t want to be stressed about safety, health issues, or bugs/diseases.

• Weather: Somewhere warm but not scorching hot. We’d love comfortable temperatures in June where we can swim and be outdoors without freezing or melting.
