Travel agent/planner or plan and book yourself?

Hi All,

First time poster here! Looking for some help with whether to book with a company or just piece together your whole trip yourself and what is better value for money? For context, we’re looking at Mauritius for April/May time, probably one week in Belle Mare and one week in Le Morne. Sometimes I’m finding accommodation price pppn cheaper via deal and sometimes it’s proving cheaper direct. I’m not looking at TUI or Thomas Cook or Virgin Holidays etc, just some Travel Agents I’ve been passed on from friends and family who have travelled in very recent years. Are there any recommendations for Travel Agents or Planners? I’m from the U.K.
