US Honeymoon Locations

Hi all! Wedding planning is in a good place, so now we get to start thinking about our honeymoon!

For Reasons™ we need to stay domestic US. We'd prefer to maximize our time at the location and not spend ages traveling, so unfortunately Hawai'i is out. Any/all suggestions welcome!

Home: Boston, MA
Time of year: Mid-October 2026
Duration: 1-2 weeks
Vibe: Relaxing and romantic! Depending on climate, think sun/beach, hot tub/fireplace. Drinks and comfy seating and books. Good food, some chances to explore a fun downtown area or historical highlight. Bonus points for a good spa recommendation!
Travel mode: Plane/train/public transit. We don't drive, so road trips are out. We like to use vacations to rest as well as explore, so one location is preferred to a trip with many stops
Airline: Delta (loads of miles and flight credits we can use!) but willing to use others in favor of nonstop flights from BOS
Budget: Flexible – let's put a 10k cap on the total cost for research purposes, but lower is better as we're saving for a down payment

While we both have done a lot of traveling in our lives, it's mostly been international so there are loads of places in the States that neither of us have been. I'm a little overwhelmed by choice, to be honest! Any help narrowing down is appreciated.
