Weird Vacation Spots in the US

Hi! My boyfriend and I plan to go on our honeymoon next year around the middle of June but we’re trying to figure out where to go. We’re both interested in strange things but also want beautiful scenery. We thought about the Appalachian mountains because of the strange folklore around it but are clueless to specific places. I’d also like recommendations for ghost/ alien sighting spots or places in the mountains/beaches. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a weird place but it’s definitely a plus!
