Where should we do our Mini-Moon?!

My fiance and I are getting married in October (can't wait!) and we are wanting to travel somewhere the week after our wedding (M-Sat). We live in the Southern US and love both mountains and beach – but I'm kinda feeling somewhere tropical, although this may be hurricane season. We are planning to do an international trip the following year, so we are open to keeping it within the US or maybe the Carribean. Anyone who was married in October have any recommendations or just recommendations for an amazing honeymoon?
