My fiancé and I are having some trouble with deciding which island and resort to stay at for our honeymoon next year. We would really love to get to know the island and partake in some of the unique experiences it has to offer.
We’re currently leaning towards Oahu due to the sheer number of stuff to do but don’t love the resorts we’ve looked at so far or generally how “busy” it feels (I understand this is somewhat contradictory to “stuff to do” but ideally we just want some variety in our itinerary and not just be doing a different hike every other day).
We’re going for a week and are looking for higher end 4star/5star spots to stay. Would love for it to be quiet, scenic, have good food and generally have an elevated/inviting feel.
We’re open to the other islands if we can figure out a diverse set of activities to do but don’t want to just be hiking every day. Thinking about renting a car to get around anyway so that’s not a concern. Any recommendations appreciated.
Edit: Aiming to stay for a week max and looking for a good balance between “lazy” days and more active/island exploration days.
