Hi everyone — my partner and I are planning our honeymoon and we’re looking for a cozy, private cabin or lodge with a view, preferably somewhere we can relax in the room and make it the centerpiece of our trip. We want the flexibility to decide day-to-day whether we go out for activities like skiing, sledding, or sightseeing, or just stay in and enjoy the space.
We’d like a place that’s romantic and scenic, but not completely remote — we still want the option to eat out and explore nearby towns or attractions. Our focus is really on having the room or cabin be the star of the show.
We’ve already checked options in Finland and Norway extensively, but unfortunately all the popular igloos, panoramic cabins, and luxury options are booked for our dates.
We’re looking for recommendations for somewhere wintery, snowy, and unique, not tropical, between December 30 and January 10. Hidden gems, lesser-known spots, or personal favorites would be amazing.
