You and me Maldives

My wife and I are looking to honeymoon here in October. We are flying from Japan and have the option to choose between arriving to Male at 11 AM 2 PM or 6 PM. Does anybody have any experience with the sea plane? I would love to know if the 6 PM is too late. Our goal is to spend as much time in Japan and to hopefully not have to wait for the sea plane in Male for too long while going to the island. We are fine sacrificing a little bit of time in Japan. If it means, we don’t need to wait at the airport for hours for the seaplane lol
