🌅 Egypt Honeymoon in December — DIY or Tour Package? Need advice! 🇪🇬

Hey everyone!

My wife and I (from Delhi, India) are planning a 7/8 -day honeymoon in Egypt this December (2025) — thinking of doing Cairo → Nile Cruise (Luxor–Aswan) → Sharm el-Sheikh.

We’re torn between going DIY (booking hotels, internal flights, guides ourselves) vs. taking a tour package from a local operator in India or Egypt.

Would love your inputs on:

• How easy (and safe) is Egypt to do independently?
• Are tour packages worth the premium for convenience & local logistics?
• Which tour operators are most recommended — I’ve seen Makemytrip, Thomas Cook/SOTC, Memphis Tours, Travel Talk, Look at Egypt Tours, etc. (pros/cons?)

We’re budgeting around ₹5–6 lakh (~USD 6–7k) for two people, including flights from India.

Any tips, itinerary tweaks, or honest feedback on planning Egypt as a honeymoon destination would be hugely appreciated 🙏
