2 weeks in New Zealand or 1 week in NZ + 1 week in Fiji?

Hi everyone! My finance and I are starting to brainstorm for our November 2025 honeymoon, and we would love some advice.

We definitely want to go to Queenstown NZ for hiking and other outdoorsy activities for at least a week. We’re debating whether to do two full weeks in New Zealand (maybe see another city or spend the last few days at a romantic all inclusive) OR fly to Fiji for a couple of days. Obviously Fiji is gorgeous and we would love to go, but between added cost and travel time to get there, we’re wondering if it would all be too much. November is also the beginning of cyclone season, which makes me nervous. That being said, it sounds like a dream honeymoon spot and my fiance is very excited about the idea of spending a few days in Fiji.

Any advice from people who have done a similar trip or who live in the area would be much appreciated! Thanks!
