Advice Needed: Honeymoon in Thailand & Indonesia

Hi Everyone! My fiancé and I couldn't decide between Thailand or Indonesia (most likely Bali) so why not do both!? We'll have about ~3ish weeks and planning to go around Oct-Dec. We both don't mind hopping around, we'd love a mix of adventure/culture and ending our trip with relaxation.

• Indonesia's dry season ends in Oct and Thailand's dry season starts in Nov – what's the best time to go for both destination?
• Have any of you been to both? If so, which did you prefer and why?
• Must see/do activities for Thailand or Indonesia? Bali specifically?
  • Ethical elephant sanctuary suggestions?
  • Hikes?
• Are there any places in either locale that you would or would not suggest?
• Any honeymoon hotel/resort recommendations?

I really appreciate any suggestions you could give, or things learned when you traveled to either countries. Thanks in advance!
