Ideas for April 2026?
Based in Texas. Don’t want to do Mexico or the Caribbean since that’s easy access/been. Been to New Zealand. Fiancé isn’t interested in mainland Europe since that also feels like we’ll go in the future (we’ve been to Barcelona/Madrid, I’ve been to London, Paris, Nice, all over Scotland & England).
Thinking 10-14 days. We’re both high earners— don’t need insane luxury or anything, though.
We’d like some beach time, some chances for a cultural experience or excursions (even an easy to moderate scenic hike/walk), some nice dinners.
Don’t want to just be lounging on a beach the whole time. But also don’t want to be changing cities and packing our schedule like crazy
I’m a YOLO style traveler and my fiancé is a lil scarred from our NZ trip where we changed cities frequently… so want at least 2 nights in a place, ideally 3-4.
I get a little antsy after 3-4 nights in the same place if there’s not a lot of “things” to particularly see/do like museums/hikes/excursions/boats/shows 🙃 I like to relax but not to that degree when I’m spending $$$, I can relax at home lol
April is still a little chilly in some places, so we’d like somewhere where there’s beach, but the water isn’t super cold
Some ideas: Azores, Canary Islands, Costa Rica
He wants to go somewhere that we’ll likely never go again/isn’t a super typical vacation destination
