April – May Honeymoon: Philippines or South Africa?

My fiance and I are trying to pick between Philippines or South Africa for our honeymoon. We have 2 weeks off towards the end of April and beginning of May, and a budget of $10-15k (not including flights). We want the following:

– A unique, uncommon honeymoon spot
– A mix of culture, adventure, and good food
– Beautiful scenery and nature/hiking
– At least 4-5 days of luxurious beach relaxation

The reason we have chosen these two destinations as our options is because we want a unique experience we have never had before. We live in the US and have traveled to Italy, Switzerland, and Norway, Costa Rica, and Mexico. We are not opposed to Hawaii or the Caribbean, because they are gorgeous – they just do not seem as exciting to us.

Thoughts about South Africa: We'd include a Kruger safari, but is April a good time? We love the idea of exploring Capetown and the wineries, and we'd pair it with Mauritius as a beach vacation.

Thoughts about Philippines: The beaches and scenery look stunning, but I have a strong fish phobia and would not be able to do any hyper water activities like snorkeling or diving. Are there other activities to do? What could we pair this with if not?
