We will be in Bali Sep 24 to Oct 1. Sep 24 – 28 we will be in a secluded airbnb in the jungles of Sideman. Absolute solitude, i cannot WAIT. Sep 28-29 we are doing 1 night at Gili T to take a surfing class and watch the sunset. Maybe snorkel! The rest is where i need your help.
Nusa Penida: I initially planned on doing the next 2 days at Nusa Penida, but the more i research the less I think i want to spend 2 days there. I REALLY want to visit the island for the views, but think that the 2nd day there could be better served visiting somewhere else (maybe an extra day at Uluwatu). But also fear a day trip may be too crowded/touristy. So i’m torn on what to do here. I just think the beaches there are a sight i HAVE to see. But maybe im wrong! You’re the experts so please share your thoughts.(:
Uluwatu: This is where I plan on spending my last full day, into my last night in Bali. I just want a beautiful view, to relax with my hubby for our last day. Preferably looking over the side of the cliffs. You may be thinking – well the no brainer is to use the second night from NP, and do 2 nights here. BUT the accommodations i’m finding that have views overlooking off the cliffs are CRAZY expensive. I’m happy to pay it for 1 night – not 2.
Knowing all the above, what would you recommend? Do we add another place to the list and go somewhere i didn’t mention between NP & Uluwatu? Do we do 2 different stays in Uluwatu? Do we skip NP entirely and find just as beautiful view elsewhere (if they exist – again i literally have no idea)?
The only other things i’ll mention is again we are pretty anti-touristy, we aren’t partiers, we really don’t even drink (i know boring), and we are typically pretty frugal, so I don’t really enjoy going to ritzy areas. I won’t be going anywhere near Seminyak, Canggu, or Kuta.
