Beach Honeymoon within 6-8 hours flight of New Orleans (or Atlanta/Houston for simplicity)

Hi All!

Pretty much have the wedding planning down. Just need to figure out where we want to go on a honeymoon. We originally decided on Bora Bora, but my fiancé wants to go for 7-10 days, so a 12+ hour travel one way isn't feasible.

We are really just looking for a beach, something nicer than just going to Miami or St. Pete, preferably with diving options for me. Also open to beach/rainforest locations like Costa Rica.

All the choices are so overwhelming, I'm hoping someone else has had these search parameters as well and found a great spot! Otherwise, I'll spend a Saturday researching/trying to find real reviews. (A rant for another day, I feel like it's hard to trust all these 5 star "this place is perfect!!!!!" reviews?!)
