My husband I and got married last September but finally are getting around to planning a honeymoon for late November of this year to either the Caribbean or Mexico. Based on the list of things we are looking for, I’ve narrowed it down to Riviera Maya and Cabo. I’m wondering if anyone can give any insight on either of these locations, resorts in these areas, or if there’s another Carribean destination we should consider. I’ll list our criteria below!
WANTS: -Adults only -Prefer all-inclusive -4 or 5 nights, budget around 5k -Good food -Ability to go off the resort and experience some local culture and cuisine -Attentive service/butler service -Nearby golf course(s)
INDIFFERENT -Don’t necessarily care about the state of the beach as neither of us have much interest in lying on the beach or swimming in the ocean
DONT WANT: -Excessive party atmosphere -Timeshare pitches, constantly trying to upsell you, aggressive sales tactics -More than 6 hour travel time from Chicago
Any insight would be greatly appreciated because I’m so indecisive and my husband thinks it’s going to take me three years to settle on something 😅.
