Conflicted on Honeymoon Choices

My fiancée and I will be getting married in late Spring, we plan on taking our honeymoon shortly after. We have narrowed it down to 2 options, Iberostar Grand Parasio (IGP) and Banyan Tree Mayakoba (BTM). She prefers IGP and I prefer BTM. For reference, we would stay in a corner suite at IGP and the Oceanfront suite at BTM.

Some additional info: I proposed to her at a Secrets resort in Cabo in September, that was our first real vacation after we both started working full-time after graduation. Also, Banyan Tree is running a Black Friday sale, which brings the cost of stay down significantly. Our original plan was to travel to SE Asia, perhaps Bali, for our honeymoon. However, COVID-19 restrictions made that option impossible.

Iberostar Pros: all-inclusive, good looking resort, nice beach, lower cost, adults only

Iberostar Cons: smaller room with less relaxing space available

Banyan Tree Pros: big oceanfront room, direct beach access, better food and more food options, more activities, calm ocean, free breakfast because I’m booking through my travel agency

Banyan Tree Cons: not all-inclusive, not adults-only

I feel as if IGP is more like a big resort type of feel, similar to Secrets. Although we had a great time on the engagement trip, I don’t think I want the same type of experience for our honeymoon. I’d like the honeymoon to be more romantic and private, which is what BTM does better.

Fiancée is telling me to decide on which one I would like, claiming that she will be happy with whichever choice. However, she gets a little defensive and withdrawn when I talk about choosing something other than IGP.

I want to bite on the BTM Black Friday deal, as it ends on Nov. 30. I’d just like to get some input from others before I make this decision.
