CrowdSourcing a Honeymoon

Has anyone here used some of the available crowd sourcing honeymoon websites? Like Honeyfund or Traveler's Joy?

My fiance and I have lived together for 4 years and really don't need any home/living items that most couples register for. We are also looking to move soon and don't need more shit to pack/move. We love traveling, and would much rather accept monetary gifts to fund a honeymoon.

Does anyone have personal experience with any of the honeymoon registry sites? Suggestions or things you wish you had known? I've also heard from some couples that very few of their guests donated to the honeymoon fund, but those couples had traditional registry items available too. We are planning for the honeymoon fund being the only gift/registry option for our guests.
