December 2020 or January 2021 – Looking for All-Inclusive and Tropical…Help!

Hi all,

Looking for any suggestions out there on where my fiance and I should be looking for our honeymoon. We are getting married in November 2020, but as I am a graduate student we will be going on our honeymoon over my school break – sometime in late December or early January following our wedding.

We're both pretty open as to what we are looking for. Thinking somewhere tropical with activities available, but not very picky. We both have passports, etc. so out of the country is fine.

All-in budget could be up to $5000-6000 including airfare, etc. although we both have some miles racked up so may be able to get some flights for free.

Our main criteria is all-inclusive – I don't want to have to think about paying for food/ drinks while we're there.

A cruise isn't out of the options but I don't want to feel confined to the boat… never been on a cruise so if there are any suggestions on good honeymoon cruise lines, please drop those as well!

I've looked at the Sandals and Couples resorts and am very much so considering them, but just not sure if they are the best bang for our buck? Any input on this would be appreciated as well.
