December honeymoon Fiji or Moorea

Hi looking for advice for our mid December honeymoon on where to stop in the way to New Zealand. Based on time of year I have read certain areas of Fiji have less rain? What would you all recommend. Also looking to not have to fly once we arrive there but ferry/boat ride OK. That’s why I was thinking Moorea for Tahiti.
