delayed honeymoon?

Did anyone not go on their honeymoon right away? I regret it so much. The prices were high since we waited to book our honeymoon over the new year holiday. We ended up beginning our married life not going anywhere. At all. We are thinking to try to go somewhere this October but is it still even worth it- 9 months after the wedding? Just seems like a missed opportunity at this point. Not to mention we both have gone on family trips twice this year out of the country.

I used to feel sad and jealous about this, now I'm just over it. The money, time off from work, while it's possible, just doesn't carry the same allure.
