We are looking into an easy (direct, no longer than 6 hour flight) 6-7 day honeymoon to go on right after our wedding from Washington DC around Sept 9-Sept 16. Because it’s a shorter trip and its right after our wedding, we were thinking a relaxing, all inclusive beach trip EVEN THOUGH that’s not really us and our favorite thing to do is drink and eat with/around the locals. We have access to a a timeshare that has a few really great options.
We are considering TRS Turquesa in Bavaro, Punta Cana as a more relaxing, all inclusive, lazy vacation. How’s the weather in Punta Cana in early-sh September?? Can we explore Bavaro?
Our other options are mainly in Playa Del Carmen. In PDC we are considering staying in Centro/Downtown, walking and hanging at the public beaches there, and doing more excursions (cenotes, restaurants, Cozumel). While this is more our speed, I’ve heard horrible things about the weather in September in this area.
Should we scratch both of these!? Look into a different area!? We’re having such a hard time balancing our typical interests and the potential desire to relax instead post-wedding. Any advice welcome!!! TIA!!!
