Elopement + Honeymoon Advice

Hi! My fiancé and I are looking into doing a trip where we could do an elopement and a honeymoon in one (open to multiple places/countries though!) and are looking for advice on locations.

We are quite open to location, but would prefer for it to be outside the US. Two hard requirements that we’d have are that we would have a part of the trip located on the water (can be a lake or ocean/sea) and that we can have incredible food. We really enjoy omakase experiences with sushi or Japanese influences, but we don’t need every meal to be that.

We also are flexible on time of year but preferably after May 2026 and it would be about a two week trip. We would be flying out of the DC area and have about 300k Air France points, but are open to paying out of pocket if there is a perfect option outside of Air France routes.

Budget 15-25k (would love to stay on the lower end, but also want to go all out on this since we won’t be doing a traditional wedding).
