First time in Mexico – February/March *Whale Watching* Honeymoon: Cancun/RM, Puerto Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas

Hi y'all, thank you so much in advance for any help.

My husband and I got married last week and with the wedding past us *phew* we are looking at taking our honeymoon in the next five to ten months depending where we decide on. Looking at 5 Nights – 6 Days.

Our number one priority when picking our final destination will be the opportunity to go whale watching with great results! We are from the States and would most likely need to stay Domestic/Mexico/Canada unless we renewed our passports.

We have two amazing itineraries planned for Alaska next Summer if we go that route, but now I want to look at a more sun, sand, beach vibe honeymoon. Hawaii is not out of the question, but it is quite expensive compared to what I'm seeing with Mexico. My initial research said that Baja is the best for whales, but it appears you can see them in Puerto Vallarta too! I'm not positive on Cancun/Riviera Maya though. We are open to All-Inclusive as well as planning our own way around. We would love spending a day checking out the local area, take a good snorkeling, sea turtle excursion, bar hop some, relax a day at the beach, eatttttt, and of course whale watch.

Needs:

– Whales whales whales (even if we take multiple whale excursions in a place that has less whales if it gives us our other needs)

– Beautiful beaches with warm water ( I def prefer the water temps in Miami during winter, but know that I can handle colder waters fine too)

– Beautiful scenery

– Good snorkeling and swimming

– Gay friendly

– Minimal kids (including college age) — We are 30/31 ourselves if that helps.

– Affordable excursion options
