Help! Maldives or somewhere else?

We are booking a honeymoon for either October, November, or December. We want to be right on the water and prefer also having a private “plunge pool.” Our budget is about $6k and that doesn’t include flights because we have points. I found an all inclusive resort in the Maldives for 6 nights that would work but I’m not sure about the long flight? If we don’t go there we’d like to go somewhere similar with the clear water, snorkeling, and some water activities. We are kind of hoping to do the overwater bungalow but another option would be the villas on the beach with their own private pools, I haven’t really found a lot outside of the Maldives? An all inclusive resort would be a plus. Thanks
