Hello! I'm trying to plan my honeymoon coming up in September, and I'm quickly realizing that this is harder than I had anticipated. So I'm reaching out hoping someone more knowledgeable than I can help. I have a few requirements that are making finding a place to go difficult. First, it needs to be affordable, we'll probably only have a couple thousand for the trip. We live in Illinois, and would like to stay around IL, but not Chicago. Also wherever we go would need to be 420 friendly (legal rec). Illinois is a legal state, and I've looked up 420 friendly bed and breakfasts and such, but as it's going to be our honeymoon, I'd like to find something with a bit more privacy than a B&B or AirBnB. A glamping site, or cabin in the woods would be nice, or even a hotel if there are any 420 friendly ones. I'd really appreciate any tips or advice! I'm so unfamiliar with Illinois…and vacations lol I've never been on one and I just don't know how to plan a good one with things to do, and keep it affordable.
