Honeymoon Destination recommendations? Fun but also relaxing?

SO, my Wife wants a relaxing honeymoon "Beach style" but I want adventure.

We went to Mexico last year for 6 days and 3 days in we were both bored out of our minds at the resort. I planning to take us to Italy, 5 days in Rome/3 in Florence/4 in Venice. I feel like this might be too much.

Anyone have a similar issue? Need something relaxing but not only beach style with resort activities? Restaurants, sights, food, but mainly relaxing in the sun and getting away from the home stresses.
