Honeymoon in Germany/Austria/Switzerland late October for 2 weeks – need suggestions on what to check out!

As the title says – we are going to Germany and surrounding southern countries for two weeks in late October! Our friends live in Munich so we plan on staying with them for a few days but would like to spend a few days in other countries as well!

I’ve never been to Europe and kinda feel out of my element for what we should be looking for in places to stay/eat/see so welcome any suggestions or tips!
