Honeymoon in Hawaii for $10-12K possible?

Trying to get an idea if this is possible. We live on the East Coast of the US. Flights are about $1K roughly. So off the bat we are at $2K on travel between the 2 of us.

Would depart in mid December and stay for 8-9 nights.

Is a honeymoon in Hawaii possible for $10-12K? I’d like to think it is but would love to hear from anyone who has gone and stayed around that budget.

Spoke to a honeymoon planner on a free consultation who said it would cost $20K. Not sure where that math came from but that seems absurdly high.
