Honeymoon in midwinter in the US

Looking for honeymoon ideas this winter – we are planning to stay within the US. We were talking about Hawaii for the longest time, but especially with rainy season in December, we might just push that off to a different time in our lives.

We are both into nature and wildlife; bonus for snowy scenery. Think Ashland, Oregon after a nice snowstorm in the valley. Any ideas are appreciated, I have been looking at cabins in and around Yellowstone/Teton/Glacier but am a bit discouraged after looking at Airbnbs in the middle of nowhere.
