Honeymoon planning for a wedding in October

Hi! My FH and I are torn between flying out to Cancun for our honeymoon whether we wanna do it in the middle of October right after our wedding or waiting until December to go.

Our main concern is the hurricane season. We’ve both never been to Central America and I’ve read that hurricane season usually lasts until Mid-November. We want to able to enjoy our honeymoon in great weather so we’d rather wait until hurricane season’s over if that was the case.

Also, how much more expensive will it be to go in December instead?
