Like the title says, we are starting to plan our honeymoon for late July/early August of next year.
We live in Chicago, and don't want a travel day much more than 7-8 hours. Budget is about $8k for the two of us. We want an all-inclusive…so all signs point to the Caribbean. We've been really drawn to a few resorts in St. Lucia and Antigua.
I'm trying to gauge if the hurricane risk is one worth taking. I know it's IMPOSSIBLE to predict, but I'm kind of stuck in like – analysis paralysis. I guess I'm just looking to talk it through with some folks who are in (or have been in!) similar positions. Do we take our chances or play it safe?!
I know the ABC islands are outside of the hurricane belt – so I'm all ears for recommendations in that area, if anyone has them.
