We got engaged in Italy in 2024, got married in Maui last month, and planning to do our honeymoon for our 1st year anniversary next year. Maybe in Sept-Oct 2026?
We always thought about doing Japan and Philippines but would love some insight on anyone that has maybe done Japan and Philippines in 1 trip. We are thinking maybe 2 weeks? I know some people say its better to just explore 1 country at a time but we don't get to travel internationally often, so we'd just love to see more with the time we do have. But are open to any suggestions!
We have both visited Philippines multiple times, but only to see family and to stay in the cities/provinces our family is from so we've never truly seen the beauty of the islands.
Also, if there are any other recommendations for honeymoon destinations, we'd love to hear! We enjoy tropical/beachy/relaxing places. We also enjoy exploring city life as well. We are big foodies (we love food), and love light activity such as walks or light hikes. Sightseeing or visiting popular attractions.
