Hey all!
I am currently researching options and it would be nice to get some input (and also some hopefully 'real' advice, rather than AI or fake reviews).
We are planning our honeymoon for June/July 2026. Normally, I like to book locally-owned accommodation, explore local surroundings as much as possible, and eat all local food. However, as we will go on our honeymoon straight after the wedding (and both have a stressful year coming up), we want to have a vacation where we do as little as possible other than lying on beaches looking at beautiful gatorade-blue sea, or taking a dip in a pool, and this might be a good opportunity for me to try all-inclusive for the first time.
We are travelling from northern Europe, so some obvious honeymoon destinations are a bit out of reach like Bora Bora, and due to the weather in that time of year, some other destinations are unsuitable like Maldives.
I have come across a few options: Zanzibar, Seychelles, Cape Verde, and I am also considering going to a resort in Turkey (I have Turkish heritage, so I have been many times but always stay with family and never stayed in a hotel) or in one of the smaller and quieter Greek islands.
Would you suggest any location in particular (or somewhere to stay away from)? Any specific resort? Any other comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
