Honeymoon travel planning – looking for destination recommendations

My fiancé and I are getting married in November 2025 and plan on taking our honeymoon a month later in December into early January for Christmas and New Years. We live in Florida and want to visit somewhere northern. We have taken trips to Asheville NC , Bryson City NC, Pigeon Forge TN, and Knoxville TN in the past. For our honeymoon we want to try something different. We plan on taking a road trip for two weeks and even thrown around the idea of splitting our two week trip into two different locations. We have thought about spending our first week in a coastal town and the other week somewhere in the mountains. We would likely stay at either an Airbnb or bed and breakfast. We have seen some amazing picture of Massachusetts and Connecticut but not sure how these places are during winter… Per Google, winter can be extreme. We aren't afraid of a little snow but would ideally not like to be snowed in or experience a blizzard during our honeymoon.

We are looking for recommendations for both a coastal town and mountain town and if you have recommendations on cute bed and breakfasts!
